Have searched about but can't really find any info on this.

Does anyone know if there's any clubs or aircraft hire at Chania in Crete? Am there in a couple of weeks and would be great to spend an hour or so checking things out from up high. Am a new PPL so quite happy to be flown, rather than flying.

Not really expecting there to be anything, but any advice to the contrary would be great :ok:

I went there in 2007 (http://www.peter2000.co.uk/aviation/odessa/index.html). It was something like 5 days PPR for both arrival and departure :)

The runway is a bit small for a UK trained pilot however.

Spot the four F16s just to the left of the threshold, engines running :)

Thanks guys. Cretan Eagle is based at Heraklion which is too far from where I'm going to be, so was specifically looking for something at Chania airport.

You will be busy enough with the hordes of drunk 20 year old bleach blonde females at Hania to want to do flying :E

Hopefully so, although I'll need to figure out how to ditch the mrs first! At least it's not Malia ;)
