I have just discovered that my work will be sending me to San Diego at the end of the month. I see it as a good opportunity to do my BFRs and get to do a bit of solo night flying.

Would anybody have any recommendations on good (based on aircraft availibility and maintenance, staff friendlyness and price) FBO to go to / to avoid? I will have a rental car, so could be mobile in the area.

Thanks a lot!

When I was there last September I took the opportunity to fly a couple of hours in a Cirrus. They weren't cheap but they were good and very well organised. Do the "Bay Tour" if you can; 800 ft round the bay then a climb up to 4K to use the VFR corridor over Lindbergh then a dive back into Montgomery.
