Couldn't help but notice a rather poorly looking Cub upside down in a field near Harrogate a couple of days ago.
Anyone know what occured?

Mix it with the other one & they will both be in the pink of condition:ok:

Lol

Maybe the owner was using the grass to polish the upper surface of the wings :D

Everyone knows he was just changing the tyres and a 50 hour oil change. It's so much easier to drain the oil that way rather than through the sump plug, plus no worries of the sump plug washer leaking afterwards

I'll bet someone's feeling a bit Grizzly about it.

It never ceases to amaze me how fellow forumites react to posts. If the owner sees these flippant comments I'm sure they will upset as much as the damage.

If it turns out the pilot has subsequently died would you be happy with your post?

I'm all for levity but this thread seems a bit off colour to me.:=

I am certain that had the pilot died then the AAIB would have investigated and removed the wreckage in their normally very efficent manner.

I'm with Sir George on this. What's the betting that had it been a Cirrus,Mooney,PA32 or indeed a Cessna 150 sympathy and questions as to the health and well being of the Pax would have been uppermost.

No one asked if the Tomahawk upside down in Wales was burying the hatchet.

Yes double standards do exist in aviation. :p
