Crew under gunfire at Lagos

Recently Air Atlanta B767 and 747 crews positioning by minibus from the Meridean hotel in Lagos, Nigeria to Lagos Int'l came under fire by gunmen. Although no-one was hurt this does raise serious questions as to the saftey of visiting crews to 'Developing' countries, in particular Lagos.

Does anybody no where crews from British Airways,Lufthansa,Swissair.......etc Stop over in Lagos and if not do they dead head back ?

i live in london ...i think it is a greater risk here (in some areas only ;) ) ...when you go to the corner shop to buy some bread and milk.
