I've had the idea for a long time now of flying down to Italy to see the F1 at Monza.

I notice there is an airfield, Bresso, around 20mins away from the Circuit.

Has anyone done this before or got any experience of flying into Bresso or in the Milan area generally? Or of course know of other airfields which could work?

Looks like Italy may be open for GA again so the thought is back on my mind.

Hi
I did a trip last year via the alps (Simplon pass) to an airfield south of Milan and then along the French coast. I would be happy to give you some info. PM me or send direct mail.

Forget about Bresso LIMB. It would be an ideal GA airfield for Milan, but that would be far too sensible for an administration (if not a country) that regards general aviation pretty much as the work of devil (which is possibly the reason why LIMB is currently closed off for a whole month (!) so that it can be turned into the venue of a two-day visit by the pope - not joking!)

To my knowledge Bresso has never been open to any traffic other than the resident aircraft of the local aero club and the two or three businesses based there.
