Well lads. I tried a search but couldn't find what I'm looking for. Basically me and my brother are nearly finished out PPL's here in Ireland. The question relates to my brother. He was unable to gain an Irish medical so had to go to Gatwick where he had no issues getting a CAA medical ( slight stigmatisim issue ). He got a class 2 and as soon as he completes his PPL they will grant him the dev class 1. Anyway the issue now is he cannot do any solo work here in Ireland ( no spl ), He's well into Nav now and not far off finish but he needs to do his solo work in a CAA registered school. The issue is we have been looking around Spain and the likes so we can have the best shot at the weather, but its not that easy to find somewhere just for the 10 or so hours needed, Anyone have any help on this matter, I'm trying to get this done so he can head over in the next month or so ?

Thanks a mill

Why not stay more local and head north instead? I don't know what part of Ireland you're from, but it might save a fair amount of hassle and travel. You are better to learn to fly nearer to the conditions you will be doing most of your flying in, and once you include the travel to Spain - for only 10 hours flying you wont save much money. It would probably be good for you to also build up more local contacts.

PS - I've never been there but they have a good reputation.
