good morning, one of my friend asked me if there is fire or smoke burst inside the cabin, if the paxs move all the way to the front or back of the cabin. It will affect the CG of the aircraft for sure, but will that affect be unsavable? I know that MD80 can not afford that kind of CG change.can the 737-700,800 afford that? Full pax. Please shed some light on me~Thank you all in advance!:):)

On the 800 the nose can get a bit light, as evidenced by the extention of the nose oleo, if pax at the rear remain, pax at the front have disembarked and the fwd hold has been emptied first. So I think the answer is quite possibly "yes".

It will not really become a problem until the aircraft is slowing for landing. I am sure enough control exists in cruise flight. Thus a slow speed handling check would be a good idea. Bear in mind there is physical limit to how many pax you can pile into one end of a full a/c!
