Hi,
I'm going to be moving the Perth in the new year (should be GFPT by then) and need to finish off my PPL on my weekends. How much can I expect to pay for training?

Given my weight I'll have to do it in a C172 or similar.

Feel free to PM.

Thanks.

Looking at the mess of traffic there I'd consider doing it at a school that has Murray field as a base too.

Thanks for the advice. Will keep that in mind. I currently travel about 100km to fly at present because there is no waiting and rates are reasonable.

I see there is also an air strip at gingin.

Bunbury aero club is a pretty good option easy to get to from Perth. Close to Perth for controlled airspace exposure and a good bunch. Give 'em a call

I'll second the Bunbury Aero Club :ok:. Have a couple of nice 172's at reasonable prices, and will look after you. Friendly bunch as well.

Minovation at Jandakot. :ok: I was fortunate enough to have a couple of lessons with Min when doing my PPL in England - I was over in Perth visiting rellies. I'm pretty sure we went to Murrayfield to do some circuits, it certainly wasn't Serpentine. Great, friendly school and Min doesn't yatter at you the whole time you are flying. :) Look up their website (http://www.minovation.com/)- they even have their own Environmental Officer. ;)

Yep, finished my PPL with Minovation, so I can second that. They fly mostly Boomerangs and PA28s, though. Bunbury is a good option if you don't mind travelling (it's about two hours south of Perth), as there are no landing/T&G fees.

Nil Landing / T&G Fees at Murrayfield either....run by RACWA, so it might be a bit closer for you..?

Cheers :ok:

Probably easier to learn in the C172...
