Originally all transport workers were exempt from the working time directive. I understand that the exemption is about to be removed for lorry drivers and other transport workers. Will the working time directive now apply to pilots?

Unlikely, I'm afraid - a good question to put to BALPA. I think the lack of alignment within EU on FTLs does not bode well for us getting any possible perceived benefits from this <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I thought pilots had time restrictions more stringent than the working time directive.
