View Full Version : Miles Magister Crash @ Burnaston circa 1956

Can anyone help me with researching the date and circumstances of a Miles Magister crashing at Burnaston airfield (near Derby) whilst "balloon bursting" during an air display, probably around 1956
I know that the pilot was killed instantly on impact.

Miles M.14A Hawk Trainer, G-AKUA, which had been converted from a Miles Magister 1 (Serial No 1021), (Sevice Serial No N3988), crashed near Derby on the 21st July 1957. Is this the one?
