Sorry guys I know it's been here before but I cannot find the answer:

What is the formula for calculating radius of turn using speed (preferably kts) and angle of bank?
Many thanks to the first answer

http://142.26.194.131/aerodynamics1/Lift/Page13.html

or alternatively stick in:

"radius of turn" speed aircraft into Google - plenty of results using this specific search.

R = (V*V)/(g*tan theta)

(R = V squared divided by g times tan theta)

where

R = Radius of Turn (metres)
V = Speed (metres/sec)
g = Gravity = 9.81 ms-2
theta = angle of bank

To use V in knots and obtain R in nautical miles, adjust the formula to:

R = (V x V)/(68,965 x tan theta)

Can't seem to post formulae or mathematical symbols?

Thanks Bellerophon + Superpilot a couple of stars, Never thought of trying it on google :)
