I am probably the millionth person to ask this, but, what the hell. I have always wanted to fly as a career since a child and maybe I have left it a little late to gain sponsorship (being 30!) What I would like is to know is how I can cost effectively, gain my ATPL, I am currently two thirds through my PPL and want to achieve commercial status, so I can get to my goal... can anyone help...please!
P.S Whoever helps me to a carrer flying goes straight to the top of my Xmas card list!!

Read the thread How do I become a pilot that was on this channel about a month ago. Nothing much has changed.

In the meantime, you need to build your hours up to 100 minimum (if I recall) and find about £40000.

It'll take you 1.5 - 2 years by which time there is the possibility that someone somewhere might be offerring a job.
