Hello,

I would like to hear your point of view regarding the nav radios setup to fly any of the SID for GCLP. Raw data, multicrew, RMI and HSI. Active and SBY frequency for Pilot Flying and Pilot Monitoring.

SID GCLP (http://www.aena.es/csee/Satellite?blobcol=urldata&blobheader=application%2Fpdf&blobheadername1=Content-Disposition&blobheadervalue1=attachment%3Bfilename%3D392%2F164%2FLE_AD_2 _GCLP_SID_1_en.pdf&blobkey=id&blobnocache=true&blobtable=MungoBlobs&blobwhere=1237548948984&ssbinary=true)

As you can see the SID text says “Climb on runway heading direct to ECKOS”. If you read a Jeppesen chart for GCLP SID 03L/R the text sometimes says “To ECKOS” and sometimes says “Climb on runway heading to ECKOS”. On a Jeppesen chart you will see LPC VOR. LPC is a VOR located along the final approach course.

My question is: if ECKOS is a waypoint at 5.2 DME on GDV radial 121. How are you suppouse to fly runway heading (no drift correction) and reach ECKOS? Will you set a nav aid on the active frequency to follow the runway center line and fly to ECKOS?

Best regards
