Does anyone know where to find reliable information on fuel consumption of various airliners - particularly 737-400/800 and MD-83?

I've been searching the internet but haven't had any luck.

Peter,
Projected fuel burn data is marketing information and is widely distributed to the airlines. So is really in the public domain. Fuel burn guarantees are confidential, which is probably what you were thinking of.

SWAG for planning purposes. This covers taxi, takeoff, climb, cruise, approach, landing and taxi in.

For the -800 circa 40 kgs per minute 88.2 pounds per minute.

For the -700 circa 36 kgs per miunte 79.5 pounds per minute.

There was a website that I can no longer find on the web but it is archived on Wayback machine.

Try these links:

!UranusJay's Homepages! - SITEMAP (http://web.archive.org/web/20030810033308/http://www.januranusjaymartin.de/uranusjaysitemap.html)

!UranusJay's Homepages! - AIR - Aircraft Technical Data (http://web.archive.org/web/20030822011410/http://www.januranusjaymartin.de/air/aircrafttechdata-boeing-717-737.html)

You may need to click on 'Impatient'. If the links don't work google in 'Wayback Machine' or type in:

http: //www. archive.org /web .phb

(without the spaces I have inserted).

To get the main menu type in

http: //www. januranusjaymartin.de /uranusjaysitemap .html
next to take me back.

Go down to AIRDOCUMENTS & click against the type you want the technical data for on the right.

Does anyone have any data for the 787 or 747 800? Also, although it doubtless is confidential, are there any published guarantees for the A350?

Thank you guys!

Peter, this was what I was looking for. Thanks a lot! Sorry, I'm not able to assist you on the 787 and the 747-8.

captjns - an excellent rule of thumb - simple and elegant - many thanks. I am always impressed when something seemingly complex can be elegantly encapsulated like you have done. My assorted complex 738 planning systems can do little better than you have done.

The UranusJay links (which still work via wayback) are great.

Joe - check your PMs.
