Hi All,
I'm going on holiday in a few weeks to Javea in Spain, and would like o try to hire something like a PA28 / C172 in the Alicante / Valencia area.
Does anyone know of anywhere?

Google Muchamiel, small field near Alicante. Forget Valencia, the biggest pain in the proverbial in all of Spain.
Yes been there and done it, all be it a few years back when I hired a C152 from there.
I can remember the airport took a bit of finding and the runway was quite demanding being narrow with large boulders down both sides which centered the mind!
I flew with a local Pilot who spoke Spanish as English is a bit of a problem at the airfield. The Restaurant was very good as well!
