A340 Autospoilers (sorry, I come from Boeings)

Hey guys,

Got a quick question of the A340 for you - does it in fact have auto-deploying spoilers when you land or does the pilot need to manually deploy them? If they do not auto deploy, is there still a section on the before takeoff and landing to arm the ground spoilers?

If someone could explain this to me it would be great. I appreciate the responses,

The A340 has auto spoilers. They have to be armed prior to take-off and landing. Deployment logic is explained in FCOM 1.

Oh I am not sorry I come from Boeing at all, just interested in getting my Airbus knowledge right as well.

When I finally get my license and certifications in order, I will be hoping for Boeings. Sadly, I cannot quite yet jump in the cockpit of a 737, however I would love to.
