View Full Version : Visiting Boeing in WA

Two questions in one here:

1) Will be in Seattle in August, and would like to visit Boeing's factorie(s).

Am I right in saying the Everett plant organizes tours for the public on weekdays? (as per their website).

Are there any other factories (Renton?) that are open to the public in WA state??

2) A query about Travelocity.co.uk

I wish to travel on August 13th from SEA to JFK with Jetblue, one-way.

Now, the cheapest price quoted with JB is US$129 (very good!), BUT the system is only showing flights up to July. Does this mean there are no tickets at the same price for August, or that the August seats have not been offered yet?

Should I wait? Their website is quoting US$168 for the exact date I want.

Any help appreciated, sorry about the long posting.

Cheers
AJ

I can answer question One.

Boeing only offer a public tour at Everett on weekdays.

The tour consists of a short film show followed by a bus ride over to the 747 assembly building. After visiting the viewing gallery above the line the return bus journey to the visitors centre takes in the flight test and delivery line.

Tours need to be booked on arrival and if they are busy you may have to wait a few hours. If you do have to wait for the Boeing tour the Museum of Flight have their restoration facility on the airfield (ask for directions at Boeing) that is open to the public. There is also a good bar/restaurant in the flying school area.
