Does anybody ever have difficulty in finding an FAA-qualified instructor in the UK to do BFRs and ICCs?

I am a current FAA CFI ME IA which costs me around $125.00 every 2 years to keep current.

As flight instructing is not my livelyhood, I have no desire to take anything out of the hands (or food off of the table) of any qualified FAA instructors in Europe who make their living out of instructing. (Wannabees or others.)

However, if anyone is stuck for a BFR or ICC, (something I can't believe would happen) please send me an e-mail, and if I'm in your country and you have access to an a/c, I'll be happy to try to help you out for the cost of a few beers or whatever.

Remember...I'm not advocating flying for free, or cheapening the CFI profession.

But if there are no qualified CFI's where this gent is, I'll be willing to help him out... I hope no one takes offense to my attitude on this...
