Causeway -better than ever

Still a superb strip >670m and very level!
Second runway approx 500m under construction (400m currently perfectly useable).

Hangarage avail by arrangement. (First come first served) space for 12 aircraft.

Perfectly secluded (secure) but central location.

Airfield is runny not for profit club.

See you for the NW200 ?

Windrush seems to open once or twice a year for a fly-in. We went in May when the event was on the same weekend as Abingdon.

Your contact for PPR for Windrush edge of Brize Zone is Mr Roy Limbrick, Home Farm, Sherborne, Nr Northleach Glos. 118500 is your friend plus google Windrush Airfield for some history back to the Second World war.

There is absolutely nothing there except for Roy's farm animals plus hares, Deer and a honesty box in what was the old control Tower!

The strip is very long and runs North / South but the grass is only cut once a year so a capable aircraft required. Approach from the South to avoid power cables and over flying villages south of the A40 Cheltenham to Oxford road.

The last time I visited on a sentimental trip ( generations of my family lived at nearby Home farm and I was born there:D ) The strip was so rough that my aircraft sprung a fuel tank leak which cost me 6K so not high on my repeat visit list
