Anyone got any info/recomendations about lightweight headsets? I am finding the online selection a minefield, comfort and clarity are my main requirements (excluding ANR - too expensive).

Any compatability problems with a/c avionics (i.e do you need approved types) Currently flying B757/B767.

I'm currently using a Plantronics "Starset", which is the one that sits over your ear, so no headband. I find it quite comfortable, even with glasses, though it doesn't always feel totally secure.

The sound quality is good, so long as you keep the earpiece clean. I've not had any complaints about my transmissions, and because the mic is positioned to the side of your mouth, you can eat without moving it out of the way!!

Got both Old and new model Sennheisers as well as TELEX lightweights. Like em both. Sennheiser seems to be better in B727 cockpit as noise levels with cruise above M.80 get a bit high.
