In the past I never had any wealth so I've never bothered having instructor indemnity insurance. However that is now starting to change.

At the request of the baggage I've been forced to take out mortgage protection insurance (that will pay out if I kark it when instructing) and that was a very reasonable 7 quid a month through Ross Stein insurance.

I know the AOPA do it but the premium is about 260 quid. I only fly about 150 hours a year so I was wondering if anyone knew any other more cost effective options.

I should also add as well as group A aircraft I also instruct in 3-axis microlights.

I think you will find the AOPA option through Besso to be the only option. Even Russ Stein pointed at the same policy. I believe the BMAA have an insurance option for Microlight instructors.
