Just seen Ryanair's new routes from London.

It says there will be 2 daily flights to Newquay !. .Is there that many people wanting to travel that short distance by air travelling each and every day ??

Good news for me as I am training for CPL though !

I suppose Newquay is the UKs answer to Benidorm!

To be fair to RYR, they'll be quicker, cheaper and dare I say safer, then the train. And I bet the road traffic down there is awful in the summer.. . I saw something about services starting in June, and I think they'll do pretty well out of all the Essex boys and London Villagers going off for the surf.

Don't forget that it's the thick end of 270 miles from London to Newquay (more like 300 if you work from Stansted); I think the train jouney takes a minimum of five and a half hours, albeit a centre to centre time.

By comparison (and I know these are more heavily populated areas) Leeds, Manchester and Humberside are much closer to London and all have scheduled air services to the south.

Good on Ryanair!
