I obtained my NPPL SSEA on 5/3/2009 and have just realised that it is due for revalidation.
Although I meet:
(a) within the period of validity of the rating have flown as pilot: • at least 12 hours flight time including 8 hours PIC.
• at least 12 take-offs and landings.
• at least 1 hour of flight training with an instructor.
(the flight training was night flying, so not really relative to the SSEA)
I do not meet:
b) Within the 12 months preceding the expiry date of the rating, have flown as pilot: • at least 6 hours flight time.
Does "pilot" in this context mean PIC? I have done in excess of 6 hours as PUT during the last 12 month, while getting an FAA PPL. Only 1.7 hours PIC time though.
Do I now have to do a GFT to get a revalidation?
