title says it looking at a kit plane in America and would like a factory built one to fly in eu

For the UK at least, only microlights can be factory built. Can't help with the rules in other EU states though.
If you want a kit aircraft but dont want the hassle of building one, why not buy one already built under LAA supervision in the UK?
Nearest would be a factory built VLA – AT3, Tecnam etc
