AIC circular 80/2000 ( yellow 24 )says that flight crew should have initial and recurrent training to reflect they have an indepth knowledge of the criteria for operating in RVSM airspace.
Also heard the other day ATC ask "confirm RVSM approved" to which a reply from the a/c came the aircraft is but we are not??
Has anyone had to undergo additional training for RVSM.
If so, what can it include apart from new R/T phraseology?
Have any companies had to change sop's to accomodate this.
