Had a discussion with a pilot friend recently about the airliner of choice for those wanting a quiet, comfortable, uncomplicated life. In other words, which one is the Mercedes S-Class of the skies?. .. .I.E which airliner offers the quietest, roomiest and most user-friendly flight deck?. .. .Which one leaves you feeling fresh for long periods of time?. .. .I'd profer the A330/40, but my friend prefers the 777. Can't get on with that Boeing brown colour scheme personally....

Sat in the cockpit of a Falcon 2000 bizjet recently - not an airliner but very spacious. Nice, clean full-EFIS panel with a HUD. I had enough room in the FO seat so that my elbows didn't even touch the windows - that is the indicator of roominess - elbows can't touch the windows at all.... .. .Not a big fan of the 737 - always seems a bit cramped to me.... .. .A320 looks comfy...

I have flow both the 737 and the 757. The 737 is a bit cramped (impossible with two observers) however, I find it okay when I'm seated. THe 757 has a nice cockpit, enough room floor to satnd up and strech, but there are problably bigger cockpits around (Any cockpit that was designed for a flight engineer and a navigator). Regarding the colour, I prefer the brow over the gray, it is more friendly and less tiresome. Good call by Boeing! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />
