Hi, I have a few questions about KLM airlines:

Did KLM ever fly DC-8-73s and when did they retire their DC-8 fleet?

I heard KLM used to hire experienced pilots directly into the captain's seat. Is this true? What kind of seat progression KLM had in the 70s and 80s?

Was there a seniority system for the pilots in KLM?

No. KLM never operated -73's. They retired the 53's around 1980 and the -63's around 19
