Could anyone tell me what a/c type is scheduled for the above flight? Seeing as its half-term week I'm hoping JMC might schedule a DC10. I would really like to try a DC10 before they disappear from passenger ops. which can't be far away.
Does JMC have a jump-seat policy or is it at the disgression of the crew ?

Don't worry the old bird will be around for a few years yet even in the SLF roll ;) ;) ;)

The way JMC operates, engineer's probably right. But anyway, I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing (and I hate to give you bad news) that JMC would most likely not schedule a DC-10 because Tenerife is relatively short-haul and the DC-10s (2 count) are all they have for long haul. I'm guessing they'll send a 757, but then again, it's just a guess. The jump-seats will be less crowded in one of those anyway. Good luck with the DC10!!

Major training season at the moment, which I'm afraid reduces your chances a little.
Where are you going from ?
Scheduled to op B757, very little chance of DC10 I'm afraid. J/S visits at crew discretion.
Cheers.
