What is the flippin' point of a roadshow if the requirements are listed on the webpage and every little detail about Emirates is in these forums? C'mon.

C'mon.Instead of posting this intelligent question on pprune, why don't you ask Emirates? I'm sure their marketing/recruitment guys would have an answer for you. I feel they owe you an apology for failing to seek your expert advice before launching their campaign.
The more appropriate question would be why does EK have to perform road shows all over the world to recruit drivers?
Not to long ago, there was no need to publicize this outfit, there was no need for HR to pull out the red carpet to attract qualified pilots.
So why now road shows to attract aviators to fly big shinny new planes in an internationally recognized airline?

Roadshows are not new. They have been going on for many years. Even before the current requirement for 700

1st November Frankfurt - Sheraton Frankfurt Hotel & Towers, Conference Center
2nd November Berlin - Meliá Berlin
3rd November Zurich - Hilton Zurich Airport
4th November Paris - Hyatt Regency Paris – Charles de Gaulle
5th November Rome - Hilton Rome Airport
I found this information on their website. I heard they are also going to Brazil in November and Canada in December
