Would filing an ASAP for an incident that occurred in Europe have any effect at all? Thanks. :ugh::ugh::ugh:

Yes. It will alert the company and the FAA to the problem, and may insulate you in case some European authority tries to get to you via the FAA.

When administered properly, ASAP is a win-win program for everyone. You'll have to decide if your company is using it properly.

Intruder,

Thanks for the info. Also, in Europe, do they ask you to contact ATC when you get on the ground if there is some type of deviation. We were not told to in this case. I am unsure if I should just let this go, or file the ASAP. Thanks.

File the ASAP AND a NASA report for ANY deviation. Even the FAA doesn't always ask you to call; some of the reports are now filed automatically!

Nothing to lose and everything to gain by filing. Take the time and you might help some other poor pilot out in the future.
