Some B757 from BA have received an avionic from B747-400, with PFD and ND.
I guess some specific documentation has been issued for these B757, it should be in BA Operations Manual Part B B757

Any help very welcome in PM

Thanks

I flew BA 757s for 7 years. There are only 4 left in BA service now and I am certain that they all had the standard avionics fit. Small PFD & ND one above the other with mechanical dial ASI, VSI & Altimeter.

Some had they Pegasus upgraded FMC, but that is it.

You may be refering to the IS&S intallation that turns the 757/767 into something like the B777/747-4. Google it and I think you will find some photographs. FedEx, American and a few others have adopted it for their fleets. Only takes three days down time and reportedly costs less than $400,000 which isn't bad when you think of the cost of one symbol geneerator at around $125,000.

Where did you get that information? It isn't accurate regarding BA 757 aircraft.

I suspect, but I DO NOT KNOW, that the poster has seen some former BA 757's that are going to FedEx that have the IS&S flat panel displays installed???

AA has installed the FPDS on some of its 75/76 fleet, with the rest to follow shortly. Unfortunately they ordered the cheap version, in which you still have to manually set V speeds for T/O and landing, since the FMCs do not "talk" to the screens. Also, the PFD is absurdly small. But it does make the cockpit look a little more modern. :ok:

Abx Air Has A Very Large Percentage Of Thir 767- 200 Fleet Flying With This Pfd- Nd Modification. I Believe They Were The Initial Group To Pioneer This Mod. On Their Fleet. It Has Proven Very Successful And Their Mx. Dept. Does Aircraft Mods. As Sidework.

I believe that ABX has the original STC on the mod.

Is this what you are looking for? This is the IS&S mod.

You mean you want a B757 Ops manual that reflects this modification? Not likely to happen. Why don't you ask IS&S for some of their material as it applies to the installation? They sent it to several years ago and suspect they may share it with you. Certainly enough inof==formation to familiarize yourself with the capabilities of the system.
