I came across this msg "HYD DEMEN Pump 4". Could not figure out what it means. The pump seems to be working fine. Any idea what the msg means??

Hi Ericgkl,
the EICAS message should be this type HYD PRESS DEM 4, just means that demand pump output pressure is low ...

The 744 with CF6 engines has an AUX pump on the #4 (and maybe #1)system to provide pressure to the brakes. When you take the pump selector from AUTO to AUX, the demand pump is deactivated and you get the HYD PRESS DEM 4 message. Was normal during our pushbacks.
