I have done a search and checked the stickys at the top of the page with no luck.

Are there FMGC/FMS manuals covering the Airbus A320 family? Something like the 737 FMC Guide?

Thanks for all replies,

FCOM Vol 4 is the Airbus FMGS pilot's guide.

I corrected myself as I am actually now on the program what we are talking about. Quite a bit of differences between the two systems. One could refere to the other as the new and other the new one. I've flown airplanes with the old system the newer one is a lot more user friendly.

I have never used the thales but I thought there were some differences.

It's no big deal as differences can be handled intuitively. One major airline has, until recently, only the 'old' FMGs fitted to it's training devices yet it flies a fleet of Thales FMGS 2s. the new FMGS has been 'boeingised' and is , as reported earlier, a bit more user friendly. there are also some changes due to harmonisation with the widebody fit.
