I had understood that flight in known icing conditions was one of the initial requirements. Is the anti ice now certified ( or is that the reason for 2011 in service date ?)

Rather old news (see here (http://www.pprune.org/rotorheads/405110-agusta-139-a-post4501992.html?highlight=stars#post4501992)).

The delay was partly due to the repeated slippage of the FIPS system, and partly due to a redesign of the AMS cabin.

FIPS has been certified by EASA, with TC and FAA cert expected shortly.

The name of the company is not Augusta but Agusta.
