Hi.

Going for business in Prague, but have a couple of days off at the weekend. Thought I'd try some local flying. Any ideas or tips as to good FBO's, club's or flight schools in the area?

As an added bonus would be fun to try some more exotic eastern types, like a Zlin, Yak or a Wilga or something.

few local links, but no personal experience to be honest - I am located in the east of the Czech Republic.

Prague´s biggest flying club, they have Zlins: Aeroklub Praha Let?any (http://www.akletnany.cz)
air school on the other side of the same airfield LETOV AIR FLIGHT SERVICES s.r.o. (http://www.letovair.cz/)

list of aircraft to rent (in Czech, but number are quite simple):
P?j?ovny letadel - Sportovní letouny > Jednomotorové (http://aeroweb.cz/katalog/pronajem.aspx?mkat=2&kat=3&fil=0&sort=1&kraj=1)

many people are flying at Benesov (LKBE) - about an hour drive from the city center. F-AIR - více ne? létání (http://www.f-air.cz), Letecká škola Bemoair - úvodní stránka (http://www.bemoair.cz)
Zbraslavice - LKZB might a choice as well Vítejte na stránkách Aeroklubu Zbraslavice (http://www.lkzb.cz/)

Yak and Wilga - they would be hard to imposible to find.
I would personally recommend one of Zlin-26 series. Z-126 is beautiful to fly - 105 HP with wooden prop is a poetry, Z-226MS and Z-526F are fast - 180 HP and variable props. PM me if you want to get some more tips.
