I don't know of any conversions being done outside of a company.

That would be a BE350, as distinct from the BE35!

Actually there is no such thing as a BE350 or B350 for that matter try BE-300 Super King Air 350, even more confusing huh?

What's even better is if you can get a BE-300 endorsement then you also get the BE-200 as well (Effectively three different aircraft in one endo, Kingair 350,300 & 200). Unfortunately doesn't work the other way.:ok:

From the front of the POH/AFM

Beechcraft
Super King Air
350 & 350C
(Models B300 & B300C)
ICAO B350

As opposed to the
Beechcraft
Super King Air
300 & 300LW
(Models 300 & 300LW)
ICAO B350

CASA Class Endorsement BE-300 - covers all Beech 300 and Beech 350 except 300LW
CASA Class Endorsement BE-200 - covers all Beech 200 and Beech 300LW
A Beech 300LW is a Beech 300 with a MTOW of 12500 lbs (built I believe for the UK market) instead of 14,000 lbs.

If you want to get confused download and read the Type Certificate

Yes, I stand corrected. The ICAO designator is B350!

Makes you wonder why the BE35 on my flightplan gets me called a Beech 350 !!

Its just a normal B300 with the paperwork amended.
One arrived in Aus as a new B300 and changed to a B300LW a few months later.
This gets you away from all the above 5,700kgs drama.
A " Claytons " MTOW of 5,700kgs some would say!

Hawker Pacific is the local dealer and the company pilots can provide endorsement training.

I understand that Hawker Pacific provides contract B300s to the RAAF's 32SQN (East Sale) and progressively to 38SQN (Townsville - fill in between the Caribou and its eventual replacement), according to recent media releases. Total 16, if I recall correctly.

Hardly a drama!

What's the point of having additional capacity and not using it, might as well buy a B200 and save yourself a million bucks!

Of course, probably why there have been none since.

Not quite correct have a read of CAO 40.1.0 Appendix VI Extended effect of certain endorsements.

I think you will find the CASA BE-300 class endorsement covers you for the BE-200 therefore all three aircraft types BE-200, 300 & 350. That's why if you have to pay for a King Air endorsement BE-300 is the way to go.:ok:

Unfortuately a bit hard to do privately in this country.
