Hi guys just some quick advice if anyone has the answer?

If i have a CPL MEIR and unrestricted FI rating is it possible to lease or purchase a C-150 or PA28 and offer PPL training as a sole trader working for myself at a licenced airfield hiring a local office room to complete briefings etc.

Is this possible or against the law for any reason as i cant find any info on it?

Any advice would be great!

Thanks :ok:

I believe you can, but you will need to register with the CAA as a training provider (at least this was the case when I considered doing the same about 7 years ago).

It'd be difficult to make it cost effective but I don't see why not.

It is possible but very silly.

Go and have a read up about Ltd company's. Sole trader absolutely everything you own is on the line if anything goes wrong.

Hi Thanks for the replies. Does anyone know what the fee's would be roughly to the CAA to operate at this capacity? Would i be able to act as a LTD company if im the only person employed?

Many Thanks

No fees to the CAA unless you want exam papers to give your students, then you would need to become an examiner and pay the appropriate fee.

Limited companies only need directors, not employees.
