Why T-tails have horiz stab thermal antiice and the other only wings A/I?

Do all T tail ac have anti-ice on the stab?
I think whether or not the empennage is protected will depend on the individual design, it's controllability with ice accretion and the certification standards in place at the time.

No. CRJs don't for one example.

Agree.

Aircraft with unpowered control surfaces on the tail tend to have de-ice or anti-ice, to avoid control snatch type issues.

Aircraft with powered elevators only need to de-ice or anti-ice the tail if they need it clean to meet the controllability/trim requirements. Otherwise it's generally left unprotected.

Many TP T-tails only have de-ice on the tail, yet they can also suffer from the deep stall characteristics of the sweep wing fleet.

The 727 also does not have anti ice on the tail.
