Thought I'd let the 'L2K and beyond' crowd know of this.

A friend of mine sent me a link to this website (http://flyinfrance.free.fr/), which appears to be the very useful 'labour of love' of a French pilot. Answers a lot of the questions posted regularly here :ok:

The landing page doesn't seem to work (at least not right now), but click on the tabs to the left and you'll get all sort of useful info.

I used this site a couple of years back for the French part of a trip to Munich. Was my first long EU trip and the site was a huge help. Well worth a look :ok:

As above, found it very useful, and is recommended to anyone flying into France (beyond L2K anyway) for the first few times.

Another excellent resource is www.navigeo.org (http://www.navigeo.org/).

I set up a clickable map of France showing the locations of public and private airfields and ULM strips here (http://www.arthurandarthur.co.uk//flying/French_airfields.htm) which you might find useful too.

Once you click on one of the markers you'll get a pop-up which will let you choose things like the SIA plate, the Nav2000 entry and the airfield or club web site. Not all fields have all that information but you'll get the idea.

Edited to replace the original reference to the now-defunct nav2000 web site.
