Link removed, not on here thanks.

I read this guy's letter in last months issue of Pilot and the letters others wrote in reply in this months issue. He's got some nerve hasn't he? He wants people to pay for all his pilot training because he is a nurse and can't afford to pay himself. I earn £5.50 an hour and I managed to pay for my training. I was at college at the time and it took me two years to complete but I still did it.

I hope this bloke fails miserably in his goal.

What are other people's views on this?

The guy's got some front! Personally, as he's being so open about it, if people want to give him money to make him happy, then good luck. His website is very good PR and pure hype: I think he may actually do it.

Whether he acheives it through good, honest hard work, though...................well, that's another matter. :hmm:

Well, it's a slightly more professional approach than a begging bowl and a dog on a string.

To be fair, I've often asked for things (a new bike, the starship enterprise airfix kit, mercy at the hands of the school bully, a pay rise) so I can see where he's coming from.

I like to think that my justifications have been equally weak but ultimately, if there are people out there misguided enough to fund someone else's idyllic lifestyle, then please put them in touch with me.

Regards, enq.

Truely disgusting!

I'm in debt due to funding my PPL training.

What's more is how can people beleive that once this guy has paid for training, type ratings, and is subsequently out of a job he will donate £20k to a charity :ugh:

Burberry wearing, benefit stealing, oxygen theiving, scrounger. Get a part time job for  sakes.

It's never going to happen is it? And if he finds people stupid enough to give him money, more fool them. I don't think he'll make PPL let alone ATPL

Also, if he gets to say £10k by his deadline (by his 30th birthday), will he still be donating £20k to a charity, or even 20%?

Oh misguided donators with huge sums of money, please PM me I have £25k of debt you can help me clear...

He would make a great MP.

But then he would not need his fund raising plan, he would just put it on expenses......

Sad to think he feels there is somebody dumb enough out there to fork out the cash. As previously said, more fool them if he finds anybody...

Perhaps he should have made a different career choice?

Well the site states he already has over 3k banked so there must be!

I'm guessing the recent £3k donation from 'Anonymous' is a family member of some sorts. I say 'guessing' but I really mean I trust that person isn't so stupid to part with such a vast sum of money for someone they don't know, and never met.

For that kind of donation I'd expect him to send round his girlfriend, sister(s), and mother for a...

I haven't followed the details for the(removed) link, but......
PISH- the guy's a beginner :}

I suggest you all hop off the outrage bus and scan the Ad's in the back of Private Eye

That's proper, blatant scrounging, that is! .
