Hi ya folks,

Just wondering if there is a list of PPL examiners that as an instructor we can access. Looking for folk in Scotland?

Not seen a list as such.

I'm sure you already know that examiners aren't necessarily 'tied to a school', more area allocated by the CAA. However, contact your local RF or FTO - they should know of one or two locally.

Not sure whether FCL at the Ivory Tower will give out names (don't see why not) but I'm sure they would pass on your number to a local chap if you asked.

Well there certainly used to be. When an examiner authorisation is granted, the application form asks if you are willing to have personal contact details divulged to the general public, thereby implying a list is published.

The industry CPL examiners are listed at the back of the Examiners Handbook.

The medical examiners are listed here: Medical Examiners Database Search | Medical | Safety Regulation (http://www.caa.co.uk/application.aspx?catid=49&pagetype=65&appid=21)

The RT examiners are listed here: RT Examiners: List of Authorised Flight Radiotelephony Operators Licence Examiners | Publications | CAA (http://www.caa.co.uk/application.aspx?catid=33&pagetype=65&appid=11&mode=detail&id=2860)

As for PPL examiners, its a mystery

Hope this helps.

Contact the CAA PLD Standards Support and ask for a list of Examiners in your area.
You can contact the Personnel Licensing Department by telephone on 01293 573700 or by our e-mail addresses: [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected]
The more we ask the more likely they are to publish a list.
