I have heard from a few people now, that the CAA now allow electronic flight computers in the flight planning exam for PPL students.

I know I can find the info in one of the CAP documents "Instructions to examiners", but unable to find the document. Anyone else out there know any better

Well, as a UK PPL/FE, I've heard nothing from the CAA about such a thing.

So expect to be able to use the simple whizz-wheel until there's a (long overdue) policy change from the Belgrano.

They have yet to send through examinations with revised LARS service changes included too.

They used to allow them until someone was caught with information programmed into a calculator; then there were the people texting strings of answers.
