If anyone has a spare minute. What speeds do you use on the F172F Skyhawk (knots) ie VR, Vy, Vx, Cruise ,Vfe ,Final`s speed and such like. Looks like I will be teaching on the 172 soon.

PT. Thanks

Hello!

Didn't you ask the same question yesterday? I could give you the speeds that we are operating out 172 at, but they will probably differ from yours: There are infinite variants of 172s (even between "F" models) due to different propellers, empty weights, wheel spats, etc.

To get the proper figures for _your_ aerolane, you should consult:

a.) The POH of that specific aeroplane and
b.) The training manual of your flying school / FTO

If you intend to instruct at a commercial flight training organisation, than the latter will be your bible concerning these things! Just imagine one instrutor teaching figures that he got over the internet and another one teaching numbers from the book. What should the student make of such a mess?

In the case of the 172 the differences will not be be large, 5 to 10 knots maximum, but still enough to confuse the students!

Greetings, Max

True, I was just curious as to what the figures are. I`ll wait and get the POH.

Thanks.
