I was operating out of Cranfield today. Latest I've heard on the reliable rumour mill is no serious injuries, possibly an engine failure on left base for 21. The airfield was closed for about an hour.

Drove from Milton Keynes to Sandy today, and was moved off the road to allow a low loader past with Police escort, with a blue & white fuselage on board, no wings as such, and looked a sorry state. Looked at a glance like a PA28, but it was only a glance, so may well have been wrong.

Sad news if it is a write off.
Glad that there was no serious injuries though.
