hello

recently i found this taf:

GCLP 200500Z 2006/2106 36011KT 9999 BKN025 TX19/2014Z TN14/2006Z PROB30 TEMPO 2012/2020 RA

Can somebody explain what the TX and TN group stands for?

TX is forecast maximum temperature and TN is forecast minimum temperature

Airman had just posted before me. And the forecasted temperature are included base on a regional agreements. and if they are given then that during the time of validity and the time of occurence should be there.

I'll bet Im not the only one who has never seen that before! What was the weatherman thinking! sounds like he was out to confuse a few pilots that day.

"That day"? Spain puts temperatures in its TAFs every day, as does Austria and Switzerland.

Ahh, never flown in Europe, only in the UK.
