Aloha,

Title says it all really! I am interested in locating a flying school/club that permits (and is licensed for) light aircraft rental all night long. The sole reason - I am itching to have a look above the clouds on a moonlit night at stupid o' clock in a little aeroplane, alas the majority of places I know that practice night flying finish this particular activity sometime around 2000-2100Z.

I'm also interested in a sunset departure for a romantic meal in France (perhaps a stroll along the seafront), followed by a late evening return around 2300Z.

Now, I am 'assuming' the majority of aerodromes offering this are likely to be more expensive in charges and also in rental costs, but hey, such is the magic of PPRuNe.

Cheers people http://static.pprune.org/images/smilies/thumbs.gif

Southend is H24, but you will need to be aware of:
1) Night Surcharge for movements after 2300
2) Prior Permission Required for movements after 2200

I am sure one of the 4 clubs can help you with an aircraft.

Drop me a PM. We have lights H24, no access restrictions or charges and a few groups operating that may be able to facilitate.

It is quite common for many of us to come back from touring trips in the middle of the night.
