Can Jeppesen flitestar routes be loaded into the Cirrus SR20 GPS system (GNs430)? If so, how?

There is no official interface on the GNSx30 series for interfacing a computer for route download.

Obviously it could be done by reverse engineering the crossfill interface and protocol, but if somebody did this, they would not be advertising it. This URL (http://flyimc.mywowbb.com/forum4/23.html) contains some tantalising suggestions. Garmin have a developers toolkit which might enable something like this, by faking a Garmin 496. However, I haven't waded through this in detail, and don't fly with Garmin IFR kit anyway.

However, there are some recent developments (http://www.jeppesen.com/support/technical_support_details.jsp?subCatSlct=Business+Aviation&prodCatSlct=Flight+Planning&prodNameTxt2=FliteStar%2FFliteMap#).

Click on "Documentation ".

Download the FliteStar 9.4.3 patch (47.6 MB). NOTE: This patch only works for 9.x versions. Users with previous versions should contact Jeppesen Sales Support about getting a program update.

The FliteStar 9.4.3 patch includes the following changes, as well as all the changes from previous patches:

- Added RoutePack export capability to the Garmin Flight Plan Migrator utility for the Garmin 430W, 530W, G600, and G1000. View the FliteStar help file on the required items to use this new functionality.

I wonder what "Garmin Flight Plan Migrator utility" is?

Others e.g. Chelton do offer flight plan download, apparently via an SD card containing a simple text file with waypoints, or something like that.
