Flight International has a very interesting article (http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2008/12/08/319813/uk-steps-up-helicopter-training-exercises.html) on UK military helicopter operations including Exercise Jebel Sahara and background on current operational matters. Recommended reading :ok:

Glad to hear it. Personally I think we don't deploy enough, so a few more exercises and nights out of bed will be just what we need.

:ugh:

Could not agree more, I have had 10 days in a row in the same bed so it must be time for some more time away!!!

Door Slider,

10 days in bed - could be a slip of the tongue or maybe you were off sick or you'd been night flying all night hence days in bed. Brings to mind the lovely little phrase-

"Bread is the staff off life - Life in the RAF is one long loaf"

Hat, coat, umbrella, braces, belt, twine running for the door!
