Hi, i am in the position of having the month of January off work and i was thinking of doing my instructor's rating.
Have been thinking of doing it for several years now but just didn't have the time available.
I have printed off the CAA's list of approved training organizations and have been contacting some of them on the list with no success.
Does anyone know of any places that are available in January.
I would consider anywhere in the UK, Europe or the USA.

Thanks.

Have you tried Dave Coulson CFI at Cranfield Flight Training?

Kevin Rowell at Advanced Flight Training at Sherburn in Elmet.

Advanced Flight Training (http://www.advancedflighttraining.co.uk/)

tel: 07766165089

Top bloke, top quality instruction, Sherburn a nice airfield. I went to him because he was more than happy to accommodate my unusual circumstances. I did a chunk of the FI course (work only give me 2 weeks off) and then a month later I started to finish it off.

Ring him - he will chat to anyone and even give advice that is in your best interest and not advice that suits his bank accounts balance.

Try Ravenair at Liverpool.

Did my FI course there.

They may be able to fit you in for January.

A colleague just did his at European Flight Training, in Florida.

Done in 4 weeks - and so far I'd say they did a great job.

They will have a FI-course beginning in January, I doubt you'll be done in January though.

I am not sure you will have time to get anything organised for the US. I dont know how long it takes to get a visa interview at the moment.

TSA and Visa for US for January this late are, to say the least, doubtful.

Eva Paul at the Pilot Centre for the course, The Pilot Centre - Denham Aerodrome (http://www.egld.com/tpc) and Carol Cooper at Andrewsfield www.andreswfield.com for the test.

and Barkston Heath is always worth a try.

Utter rubbish

TSA isn't required

Visa you can do as soon as you get an appointment and that runs about two weeks at the moment so if you were on the ball, which most instructor types are there would be no problem at all

A friend from Spain is going out there to Start in January, so they're definitely running a course
