By accident a very experienced instructor (meaning 30 000 hours something, aerobatic, DPE so on) happened to mention the case in the video (linked in the first post) today at work. A coincidence merely, and I tried to pull out as much info as possible to confirm we were actually talking about the same case. It obviously seemed so!

He swore that the video is for real!! You need a lot of power and some skills, but nothing beyond the impossible.

I believe that it is totally impossible given that the remaining wing would provide overwhelming lift causing the aircraft to spin clockwise. In the video, you can see the aircraft starts to spin anticlockwise which would be impossible given that with the loss of the right wing, lift on that wing is instantly lost, the lift produced by the remaining left wing would cause violent clockwise rotation without a doubt.

Besides, it looks like a model aircraft in flight.

There are plenty of videos on YouTube of RC models doing the same thing. It looks like a slick cut-and-paste edit, and has been debunked in other forums. If it really happened every news feed in the civilized world would have carried the video immediately.

"Ru-u-u-u-u-u-n-n-n-n!!!!!". Give me a break!

Why are you questioning it or debating it? It was a fake video put out by a clothing company. The clothing company's name is written along the side of the airplane when you see it come to a rest at the end of the video. It's not a matter of "it might have really happened." It didn't. It was made up. This isn't something you really need to guess about; it was a promotion by Killathrill. It's fake.
